This is the second book in the life of Acorna, a young unicorn girl who despite her odd appearance tries to live a normal, but sometimes exciting life. I liked this book, the clean humor and excellent plot of this book give it a very high ranking in the must read list. The characters are all fun and the intensity of which Mccaffrey loves to put her readers is amazing. I love watching all the characters, but I would have to say that my favorite in this book has to be Markel. I love our introduction to his ship and I always wanted to go back to see what was going on there. I personally would like to meet Markel if he was real, maybe he would be able to give me some tips about computers… It is awesome how every one of the Star Farers live on their ship; I personally think that would be really fun. This book is great for younger audiences because of its clean content and amazing plot. It will hold anyone spellbound from the first page. I would suggest reading the first book in the series before this, Acorna: The Unicorn Girl (Acorna series book 1) for the start of this quest. All SF readers should have all Mccaffrey’s books in their reading lists. She is an amazing author.

Most assuredly one of the best and cleanest books I have ever read. I was glued to the pages, looking forward to the next encounter. This book does go into the quite serious issue of child slavery, so descriptions of that are in there. Acorna I’m sure will be everyone’s favorite character in the book. She is just so fascinating to watch develop. I love the fact that her uncles are clueless on how to handle a child, and am soon out of their minds. I was laughing through especially the first part of the book. This is a very good book, and the first in the series. It is a must read for anyone! It is child friendly, and has some elements that are quite unique to Mccaffrey’s style. This book will bring you back fore more.
