Advanced Search

Advanced search lets you narrow your search by selecting multiple fields to search on at one time. You can use it to create simple or complex searches. For example, you can:

  • enter text in a box
  • check a category
  • change the "Books to Search" box
  • change the language you want to search on

You can read more tips on using Advanced Search in "Getting Started, Read Books."

Search results represent a partial list of books in the NIMAC. You should also go to www.nimac.us and search there. If you find the book in the NIMAC but not in our search results, please come back to Bookshare and request it at ContactUs.

Help

You can use the quick search box at the top of the page to search for books by titles, authors or ISBN.

If multiple words are entered, they are treated as a phrase. Entering more words will result in more exclusive results (ie: "king" will return matches for "Alan King", "Stephen King", "The King and I", etc. whereas "stephen king" will only return results where Stephen King is the author, or where the phrase "stephen king" appears in the title. Author searches will be matched as "Firstname Lastname". Partial word matches are not done, so "king" will not match "kingfisher".

If we detect that the search term is a number, we will assume it's an ISBN and try to match on that.

You can use the "*" wildcard as many times as you like. "*ing" will match "king" ping, etc.
