In an effort to increase access for students and professionals with print disabilities, Alliant International University is donating an electronic collection of psychology books to the Bookshare.org library. Research has shown that graduate students with visual impairments in clinical psychology rank getting books in accessible formats as the greatest barrier to their education. Alliant International University recognizes that many students and professionals with a variety of print disabilities face this difficulty throughout their careers. Therefore, the University has launched a school-wide effort to scan and share its course materials with Bookshare.org users across the country.
