It's Thanksgiving time at Pine Hollow Stables, and the three members of The Saddle Club have each decided to do one good deed to celebrate the holiday.
Who knew relationships could be so tough? Stevie Lake, ace reporter! She's joined the Fenton Hall school paper and she's ready to go undercover and break big stories, but her editor has other ideas. Stevie's first assignment is to cover the junior class on marriage. It's not her idea of a hard-hitting investigative piece -- especially since her own "marriage" is headed for divorce court. However, Callie Forester and her "husband" are having a blast planning for the future. In fact, they're having too much fun. Carole Hanson is still trying to figure out what the future holds for her and Ben, while Lisa Atwood wonders whether she and Alex have a future.
When Carole finds out she's going to Florida for winter break, she's thrilled. Carole's cousin has planned lots of fun activities, including a ride along the beach. But Carole's ride turns out to be more exciting and frightening than she ever dreamed.
Deborah, is about to have a baby. The Saddle Club is taking care of her. She requests to tell a story without horses, and it has to train her how to be a good mother.
It's almost Christmas, and The Saddle Club is busily preparing for an exciting show. But part of their preparation involves raising money -- a lot of it! When Lisa realizes that Carole and Stevie are having a hard time coming up with the cash, she takes matters into her own hands. But at the same time, Carole and Stevie are secretly plotting to help each other. Will The Saddle Club be able to fix their fund fiasco in time for the show?Meanwhile, a winter storm is brewing that may give the girls even more trouble. When things get rough, The Saddle Club must pull together more than ever, and prove that the strength of friendship can get them through even the toughest times.
When Max, the manager at Pine Hollow Stables, asks for The Saddle Club's help in sorting through some old riding costumes, Lisa, Carole, and Stevie quickly agree.
When a sick, abused horse is rescued and brought to Pine Hollow, every effort is made to save the horse's life, and Lisa, remembering the death of another abused horse, struggles to restore the horse's broken spirit.
Carole Hanson knows she wants to spend her life with horses -- the problem is, she doesn't know how. She could be a vet, or a professional rider, or she could run her own stable. She needs to narrow the choices down a bit, but it's hard.
Summer may be over, but its problems still exist. Stevie Lake can't get Scott Forester to let her off the hook for the car accident that injured his sister. And now Scott and Stevie's boyfriend, Phil, have started hanging out together. Stevie can't believe how insensitive Phil is being. Doesn't he realize how much it hurts her when Scott won't even look at her? Something has to give soon. Lisa Atwood is adjusting to life back in Virginia, but she feels like an outsider. Carole Hanson's new responsibilities at work come with a price that threatens her relationship with one of her best friends.
For as long as Carole and Lisa have known their best friend, Stevie, she's been at war with one, or all, of her three brothers. But all that changes when Stevie's twin, Alex, contracts meningitis. This time Stevie is looking for a way to show one of her brothers just how much she cares.
Christmas is coming and Max wants Horse Wise to get in the holiday spirit. He announces that they are going to have Secret Santas, but there's a catch: You can't give something; you have to do something. It sounds like fun, until they draw names. Lisa gets Max. Carole gets Lisa. And Stevie gets Veronica. Carole would love to do something for Lisa, but since they already do things for each other all the time, what? Meanwhile, Lisa has a lot of family visiting and they aren't giving her room to breathe--let alone do anything for Max. As for Stevie, she would love to do something to Veronica--but that wouldn't be in the holiday spirit. Suddenly, doing the "right thing" is really hard.
Friends don't keep secrets from friends. But it seems that everyone is hiding something. Callie Forester has things that she wants to keep secret from the people back home. But when an old becomes disloyal, she wonders if it's worth having any secret.
The Pony Tails are planning a big party and hayride at Corey's house. The best part is they're going trick-or-treating on horseback. But when Corey's pony, Samurai, starts to act up whenever a pony named Midnight is near, Corey begins to worry.
Corey prepares Samurai for a Pony Club demonstration at a fundraiser for a local animal shelter.
Corey wants only one thing for Christmas: for her parents to get back together. However, Doc Tock, Corey's mom, has been spending a lot of time with their neighbor, Kyle Lee. Now Corey is afraid that Mr. Lee may be ready to propose.
When Corey goes to visit her father for a few days, May and Jasmine promise to keep an eye on her pony. Corey hates to leave Samurai behind, but she knows that no one could take better care of Sam than her two pony-crazy friends in the Pony Tails.
Corey is very upset. Her divorced mother, Doc Tock, has started dating a man who lives in the neighborhood. He has a daughter Corey's age, but that's all the girls have in common.
The girls of Pine Hollow face courses of action that could have negative results. Lisa Atwood is about to unload secrets on her boyfriend that could hurt him. Carole Hanson debates selling her beloved horse for a more competitive one. And Stevie Lake's campaign against Scott Forester in the election is causing problems with her boyfriend.
Lisa Atwood is spending the Thanksgiving holiday in California. But so much has happened in the last months that she can't relax and enjoy herself. Then her brother arrives with a big surprise, throwing the family into turmoil, and making Lisa question what she has to be thankful for. Stevie Lake is no longer grounded, but no one can spend time with her. Still, she ought to be thankful, right? The holiday spirit is in very short supply this year!

Stevie Lake gets conked on the head, and while she's in the hospital, she has wild dreams about herself and her friends.
The Saddle Club has to learn all about driving horses. Stevie has to work with Veronica diAngelo on a special driving team project: teaching their horses to work as a team. How are the horses going to work together if their owners can't?
The founders of The Saddle Club -- Stevie Lake, Carole Hanson, and Lisa Atwood -- gear up for the adventure of their lives when their friend Kate Devine invites them to her family's dude ranch. They will have a whole week of cowboy-style riding, plus the fun of making Kate a club member. But when they arrive, the girls soon realize there's more to the West than Hollywood shootout and colorful costumes. To show a cowhand that they're not just "dumb dudes," they pitch in with chores and help on a cattle roundup, where Stevie has a run-in with a dangerous rattlesnake. Another sour note for Stevie: Her birthday is coming up, and no one seems to care. Little does she know that her Saddle Club buddies have a top-secret surprise in the works for her!
The Saddle Club girls are participating in a new kind of horseback activity--endurance riding. They'll have to condition their horses and themselves for the grueling contest if they plan to make it across the finish line. But an annoying rider named Kristie keeps getting in the way. Carole, Stevie, and Lisa are pretty sure they can finish the competition. The question is: Can they endure Kristie?
Lady Theresa, otherwise known as Tessa, will soon arrive at Saddle club. Veronica never forgot how this cousin to the Queen snubbed her when they were in England. Will Veronica start a new revolutionary war? Or can the Saddle Club keep the peace?
