Assault on Mars (Starman No. 1)

by Michael D. Cooper

In the early 22nd century, Starlight Enterprise produced its first Starmen. The Starmen were gifted and highly trained ventures of Starlight Enterprise. With their exploits, a new age of exploration and discovery began. Earth had not seen such a time for more than six centuries, when Columbus, Magellan, Drake, and others had set sail to discover new worlds. In the course of their adventures, the Starmen gradually learn the amazing history of the Solar System. They discerned that this history is far different from what Earth had long believed. Finally they discovered the opportunity and responsibility of the people of Earth to defend and preserve their home--now understood not to be a country or even a planet, but the entire system of worlds circling our star. The Starman series chronicles the adventures of Starmen David Foster, Joe Taylor, and Mark Seaton. The saga of the Solar System unfolds in the volumes of the series. Each is an independent episode, yet the series tells one continuing story of the glorious middle years of the 22nd century. The authors of this book donated a digital copy to Bookshare.org. Descent into Europa (Starman No. 4)

by Michael D. Cooper

The Starmen have learned that a mysterious alien race visited our Solar System thousands of years ago. In the third Starman book, Journey to the Tenth Planet, Zip Foster called them "The Benefactors" because of the kindness these people showed the diminutive people who live on Titan. While they were on the tenth planet, the Starmen discovered that the Benefactors have a vicious implacable enemy-the Xenobots, a violent race that is searching for its "ancient enemy," and will demolish Earth if necessary to further the search. In Descent Into Europa, Zip Foster organizes a desperate search to find the Benefactors before the enemy does. Without their help, Earth stands no chance against the technologically superior Xenobots. With impeccable logic, the Starman leader has determined that if the Benefactors had a central base in the Solar System, it had to be on Europa, one of the moons of Jupiter. What the Starmen do not even suspect is that there is also a powerful enemy close to home. The authors of this book donated a digital copy to Bookshare.org. by Michael D. Cooper

What started out as a peaceful, relaxing camping trip turned into a pivotal moment in the future of civilization when Starmen David Foster, Mark Seaton and Joe Taylor vanished from the wilderness of Montana. The forces of Earth searched for the missing Starmen in vain: they were lost without a trace, and no one even knew who had taken them or why. Journey to the Tenth Planet (Starman No. 3)

by Michael D. Cooper

An astronomer, harnessing telescopes located on the far side of the moon, made an astonishing discovery: there is a planet that lies beyond Pluto! Starlight Enterprise decided to send an expedition to explore the planet Nyx, and the Starman trio are going along. Trouble begins almost at once: the ship jointly built by Nolan Mining Enterprises and Starlight Enterprises experiences near catastrophic failure midway to the planet. What's worse, a spirit of fear begins creeping upon the crew: rumors abound that the planet Nyx is a planet of doom. When the ship lands, the Starmen take a shuttlecraft down to the surface to explore -- and when they return they find their ship was gone! Events soon throw the Starmen into a desperate conflict with an ancient extraterrestrial menace, and the only weapon the Starmen have is their own courage. The Starmen must battle not only alien foes, but desperate human foes as well as they fight for life on the Planet of Darkness. The authors of this book donated a digital copy to Bookshare.org. The Lost Race of Mars (Starman No. 5)

by Michael D. Cooper

The mystery of the alien symbol has been haunting David Foster. Everywhere he traveled he found the same logo: a cloud-covered planet with 3 moons, forming a triangle, in the upper-left hand corner. The symbol was embedded in the pirate's asteroid base, in the lost base on Nyx, and at the bottom of the ocean on Europa. Acting on a hunch which he thought was his own, David plotted the symbol on the computer and made a discovery that completely shocked and horrified him. To find out if his hunch was true, the Starmen took off to search the wastelands of Mars. Instead of finding more clues to the symbol, the Starmen instead found themselves mercilessly hounded for unknown reasons by a mysterious individual known only as the Banjoman. As time went on, the Starmen found themselves in increasingly desperate straits: it looked like it was only a matter of time before the corrupted leadership of Mars grounded the Starmen for good! Their only hope was the strange alien symbol, a network of invisible supporters, and the courageous Richard Starlight -- but would even that be enough to overcome a vast network that had the support of the menace from beyond the stars? The Runaway Asteroid (Starman No. 2)

by Michael D. Cooper

The second book finds the Starmen hot on the trail of an escaping pirate named Lurton Zimbardo. Starlight Enterprise discovered that the pirates had a secret base in the Asteroid Belt -- an ancient base, built by aliens millennia before but abandoned and hidden in the Asteroid Belt for some unknown reason. Starlight Enterprise sent the three Starmen on a quick mission to locate the hidden base, but the mission became highly complex when Zimbardo showed himself time and again one step ahead of the forces of light.
