I found this book fascinating, if tragic. It's well-written--very readable, and suspenseful. IMO a must-read for anyone who lives in suburbs adjacent to wilderness areas, such as mountain foothills. It's also frustrating--to read about the slowness of government agencies to act responsibly until it's too late--also to read about people who, though warned and told what precautions to take to protect their pets and themselves when hiking, don’t follow the advice.
