Greville Fane is a mixed personality book which is rather hard to inderstand at first. Although the book is stourly based on mrs stormer who the narrator is to write a column on as she is dying greville fane is randomnly mentioned as if mrs stomer and greville fane are the same characters.it has been said that greville was based on barbara cartland and henry james wanted to make a joke of the story basing mrs stormer on barbara but also on greville fane who maybe barbra herself is based on.(if you are not confused now you soon will be!!!) This book is a little confusing but i would recommend it if you have time and patience to re-read parts of the book for a better understanding.
