The Author shows through the main character, Percival, that Self Righteous zealots, exemplify the metaphor that he who lives in a glass house should not throw stones, or He who is without sin should cast the first stone. Percivals House of Pride was destroyed since the foundation of this house was built on the premise that Percivals father had a divine relationship with the almighty. Once it was discovered that the very person Percival was persecuting turned out to be his brother, who was conceived from the very sin that Percival preached against, his premise for self-righteousness was destroyed. This work perfectly illustrates how when a man is swelled with pride, and rests his morals on inheritance instead of deeds, he cannot lead others to the Lord, but leads himself to damnation.Ivana Atruium
