- Synopsis
- Ellen's life is in shambles. Her career as hospital librarian is going well, but her boyfriend is unfaithful, her roommate moved out unexpectedly, leaving her with a mountain of unpaid bills and Ellen is broke. When Ben, a sixty-nine-year-old fitness instructor, sells his house and needs a place to stay, Ellen rents him a room. Their friendship slowly turns into something more. Ellen's best friend is appalled, Ben's daughter condemns their relationship, and a terrible accident—then a mysterious death—threaten their love. At times sinister, at times magnificently romantic, Last Tango in Brooklyn is ultimately a testament to mortality, life, and the strength that comes from love.
