- Synopsis
- "Decisions about how to measure and report revenue determine in large part whether financial statements are an accurate representation of a company’s financial health. Preparers of financial statements must have, of course, a thorough understanding of the complexities of the reporting of revenue—known as revenue recognition. Users of these statements must also be able to assess whether a company’s approach to revenue recognition provides an accurate picture of that company’s income and cash flows."
