This is a delightful, yet sad, short story told from the perspective of a young dog. Her mother likes to use big words in the company of other dogs and assigns these words creative definitions. This coat of vanity hides a heart which is kind to others and desires to do right. It is these values which she impresses onto Aileen. <p> Initially, Aileen has a good life in her new home. However, Following her Mama's advice saves a baby and causes this loving creature much undeserved suffering.
