I am interested in becoming a pastry chef and decided to look through this book. What I found were delicious desserts that tempt the beginner and the pro into trying them. Maida Heatter's descriptive and explanatory talents welcome one and all to the kitchen; so does her huge range of choices and ideas. The book, along with its recipes, offers a wide variety of cooking techniques all serious cooks need to know.
