- Synopsis
- A.J.Lewinter is an American scientist who, during a conference in Tokyo, goes to the Russian embassy. He wants to defect and says he has U.S. military secrets. Neither the U.S. nor the Russians are sure the information he has is genuine, and what follows is a "terrifying chess match of deceit and treachery. Each side struggles to anticipate its opponent's next move and the superpowers are locked in a deadly contest that exploits friendships, destroys loyalties, and manipulates human beings as expendable pawns."
