I read this book on my Bookport on my first trip to Vancouver, BC. I couldn't have chosen a better book! A Mitchneresque novel about the prehistory and history of the land that would later hold the amazing city of Vancouver, I was utterly enthralled. I truly hated that it eventually came to an end. The origins of human entry to North America are described in stories of great heart. Probably not the way it happened - this version is probably as good as any.And given the weather of a Vancouver winter, this is the perfect book for a rainy day.Dan Flasar
