A man by the name of Ogden Salsberry wants to perform a field test of his new drug. He chooses Dark River and prepares the test. In preperation for his test, he deploys a couple of men to contaminate the water supply. Soon after arriving in the town, Salsbury's plans go up in smoke when he orders a police chief to kill a child. His father, Paul finds his body and figures out from his daughter the key phrase necessary to avoid any guards at the lumber mill where one of the men in the conspiracy is killed. Having disposed of Salsbury himself, Paul's girlfriend despatches the third man. Having removed the threat from the town, Paul takes a trip to Salsbery's base of operations and erases all of the computers memory and even the programs. Paul then reprograms the town's people in order to cover up what had happened.
