The story of Maya Angelou's life introduces us to wonderful people and to varying ways of life--of rural Southern Blacks; more sophisticated city Blacks; prejudice and the effects of prejudice, and more. Very well-written in a vernacular style which includes some deliberate misspellings and phrases rather than complete sentences.
