BRIAN KEENE is a brand new author for me and for a first, this book isn't too bad. It gets right into the action. I must admit though, that it doesn't contain as much intensity as I generally prefer, but enough. A terrible infection has turned most of the human population into zombies. A group of human survivors escape on a boat, but even on the ocean they are not safe because the infection has spread to the sealife. A small group of humans survive an explosion that sinks their boat. They find their way to an abandoned jack up and spend the rest of their lives aboard it.
