One of the best books I have found on the subject. Because of the actual cases you are able to identify with some of the patients the author writes about. Need more books on self injury? This book is full of case studies and general thoughts about the practice of self-mutilation. Each of the stories illustrates a different point of view and helps the reader understand the many differing views, habits, and interventions for self-mutilation. Definitely a book that should be read by anyone going into psychology, counseling or related fields.
