Synopsis: Sheila Travis is now living in Atlanta, working for a large company, Hosakawa, in international relations. While at a reception at a subsidiary, Encyclopedia Galaxia, she discovers that the head of the film division is an old acquaintance, Dean Anderson. He is also a famous TV newsman who is now putting together a new series for Galaxia. But soon Dean dies of a gunshot wound while sitting at his desk. At first the police believe it was suicide, but Sheila convinces them to look further. Among the suspects are a powerful mob boss, sent to prison on account of Dean; Dean's ex-wife and two adult children; and several members of Galaxia's staff, who have their own reasons for wanting him out of the way. One of these is a good friend of Sheila's from high school days. With her Aunt Mary's assistance, Sheila once again must use all her wits to solve this complicated case.
