Queen of the Darkness by Anne Bishop. Wow, this book is good. The power and skill used to bring this book to the climax is incredible! Looking back through the two books before this, I am just awed at the skill used to bring such a great story out. I loved watching the formation of Jaenelle’s character. In this last book especially, Bishop shows how all the hardships our heroine faces pulls the end together. I love the characters in this book! I believe that these books need to be read in order, starting with Daughter of the Blood, then on to Heir to the Shadows, and last with Queen of the Darkness. The Black Jewels Trilogy is amazing. But it is pretty graphical, and might make male readers cringe every so often. But it is the max!
