Heir to the Shadows by Anne Bishop. I love this second book in the Black Jewels trilogy. I really get to see what makes the characters what they are. In this book I always wanted more. I love watching Lucivar’s development and how he reacts to his little Cat. I think it is so intriguing watching him interacting with the coven surrounding his young charge. Now I’m waiting to start the next book! I believe that anyone who loves an action-packed, intense Sci-Fi novel, that this book is a number 1! This book is very descriptive in battle fields and in the treatment and interactions of slaves and the people around them. This book should not be read by anyone who can’t handle heavy violence. But this book is one of my favorites, and I think it is on the top read list!
