Former heroin addict Tommy Jarret, invigorated by the prospect of staying clean and writing a book about his newfound recovery, is suddenly found dead in his Strathbane chalet -- the victim of an apparent drug overdose. Lochdubh constable Hamish Macbeth, however, senses foul play.
