In this book the Dark comes to life. Two from our world are drawn through the vail of space to the world the dark is trying to take over. Gil a history scholar with no family ties becomes a warrior and Rudy a biker and painter becomes a wizard. Was he one as a child in his own world? Did they both have reasons to leave their birth world for this strange new one? And why were the two of them, total strangers, drawn through for this fight? We get a lot of questions in this book that go unanswered so I am pretty sure there will be a following book or two. I'm looking forward to continuing the journey and the battle between light and a living dark.
