Stanley Yelnats is under a curse. A curse that began with his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather and has since followed generations of Yelnats. Now Stanley has been unjustly sent to a boys' detention center, Camp Green Lake, where the warden makes the boys "build character" by spending all day, every day, digging holes: five feet wide and five feet deep. I chose this book because I had an audio copy of it on my phone so that I could hear it to on the way to school and because it was one of the only books I liked in the library . This is a fictional book but the places and one of the people are real. In this book Stanley has to dig holes to “build character”. This book teaches about doing the right thing and also about friendships. I would recommend this book to someone because it is a great free read.
