I have read and watched the BBC version of this book and absolutly loved it. It stands alone but is often just seen as the preliminary part of the Barchester Chronicles. This is a shame as the ending of the Warrden is great and I love the Rev. Harding as a character. Trollope does some wonderfull men and women characters and on the possitive side is Harding and on the negative ( but wonderfully funny) Mr Slope.or as he was christened Slop!!!!!!!
