This story deals with a situation in the baby sitters club. The club consists of 8 enterprising middle-school students in the 8th grade. They are Kristy Thomas, Mary Anne Spier, Stacey McGill, Dawn Schafer, Jessi Ramsey, Claudia Kishi and Mallory Pike. Whenever a parent in Stoneybrook needs a baby sitter, the club is called they meeting Claudia's house on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The book starts with a meeting and describes some assignments that the club undertakes. They soon find that a lot of their charges are musically inclined. Therefore, they decide to form a band. Meanwhile, Mary Anne Spier babysits 3 children belonging to a Mrs. Lowell. They are extremely well behaved. Claudia though has a different experience. It soon emerges that Mrs. Lowell is racially prejudiced. The book deals with this in a very mature way and the Lowell children learn a lesson by the end of the book. The lesson is very constructive and is in the form of the neighborhood band. Written by Pranav Lal.
