This is an amazing book. It is Michael Chriton's translation of a thousand year old story from a Arab Diplomat to the Vikings.
It is a great adventure! You wonder if it is true or not. But, I did much scrutiny of everything. It seems highly accurate. However, the arguing over whether the Eater's of the Dead are remnants of Neandertals is rediculous. They are most likely the Sami people of the Arctic. Every cultural aspect attributed to the eaters is found in their culture. And the Norweigans who know this story attribute it to them.
It is an exciting adventure with everything you could hope for in a book.
