The neighbor is a carefully crafted mystery novel that has just enough twists and turns to keep the reader guessing from beginning to end. The reader is interested because every character has some aspect of their life to hide. It is impossible to tell, from the beginning to the end, who is guilty. The most astonishing character is Ree. Although Ree is only four, she has grasped onto concepts that most fully grown individuals are lacking. Ree inspires everyone with her innocence, honesty, and quick thinking. This book will appeal to any reader who likes a mystery, families, or just a long and enjoyable read.
