Summer reading is a great way to keep your child intellectually engaged and to minimize the “summer slide.” But how do you do it if your child has a disability that makes reading tough?
Bookshare’s summer reading program ensures that every child can read in ways that work for them. And since it’s the summer, they can choose the books THEY want to read.
The goal is simple: connect all children with books they’ll love.
Bookshare: Inclusive summer reading adventures
Bookshare empowers students with learning disabilities to participate fully, offering popular titles, new releases, and children’s books in easy-to-read formats like audio, audio + highlighted text, large text, and braille. Readers can listen to books and customize their reading experience – voices, reading speed, colors, fonts, and more – to suit their individual learning style. This means they can read the same books as their peers and explore exciting worlds independently.
