by Edward P. Von der Porten

Write in Style is the "how-to" book for effectively presenting your research reports. By following the guidelines for good structure and form, you will learn how to present your facts and ideas according to the conventions of scholarship. These practices will help you give any problem-solving project order and logic. Step by step, this guide explains the mechanics of writing a formal term paper. It tells you how to organize materials-note cards, the outline, etc. It also tells you about presentation-rough and final drafts, acknowledgments, and formats. Each detail is essential in creating a well-constructed paper. Pay careful attention to every step. Examples for each section show the format at work and offer further guidelines. The complexities of form can be mastered with practice. Correct form helps you share the information you have gathered.
