- Synopsis
- These oral histories reveal the many ways that ethnic and minority groups have contributed to Utah's history and fill in missing pieces necessary to complete portrayal of the state's society and culture. In-depth interviews were conducted over several years during the 1980s and 1990s with more than six hundred people representing eight of Utah's ethnic groups, including Ute, Japanese Americans, African Americans, Greek Americans, and Italian Americans. Informants discuss discrimination, generational differences, ethnic pride, and the triumphs and struggles of their personal lives.
