I read this book when I was about 11 years old, and it still remains with me as one of the best books ever writen. It has such a powerful message, and there are rarely "children's" books with this much true life grit. Recommended for adults and young adults alike!

Kids are stranded by their mother on a normal day when going to a shopping mall. They have no clue where she has gone. They are stranded for day and night waiting for her. These children have to fend for themselves while worrying about their mother.

I really thought that this book was great! it gave me a since of adventure and how it would be like living without your mother and having to fend for yourself and for your sibling.
