The way of shadows is kind of multilayered. You switch from Durzo, to Kyler, to other people in the story. It makes for an overly interesting book. What I find particularly cool is the kakari. But I don't understand why Durzo is so mysterious. I might have a theory: since Kyler doesn't know who his father is, could it be Durzo. I've read the other two books, but he doesn't mention it. But at the ending, Kyler tried to leave being a wetboy,(a assassin with a talent, a magical power). But for those of you who want a little spoiler, it's not going to work, and Durzo has one more chance to make things right, and so does kyler. But he has no idea what he's getting himself into. And, in the second book, he gets into even more danger.
