- Synopsis
- In 1696 two English ships, the Reformation and the Nantwitch, were swept by a great storm onto a beach on the east coast of Florida. This story is based on the true account of Jonathan Dickinson and the other passengers of the two ships on a difficult journey hundreds of miles up the coast to a Spanish fort at St. Augustine, Florida. Jonathan Dickinson owned slaves and had brought ten with him on the voyage. They must all make their way past the Ais Indians, who do not like the English.
