- Synopsis
- Fidler (law, Indian U. School of Law) and Gostin (global health law, Georgetown U. ) believe the US needs to formulate effective "biosecurity" policy to confront the twin threats of biological weapons and naturally occurring infectious disease. Proper formulation of this policy would involve a melding of traditional security policy and public health policy and would involve supervision of scientific endeavors in support of policy goals. Furthermore, it must be grounded firmly in the rule of law, they argue, and involve global governance. Annotation ©2008 Book News, Inc. , Portland, OR (booknews. com)
