- Synopsis
- It was on the mist-enshrouded island of Hampton, off the coast of Georgia, that Lacey Ames had once fallen in love with Giles Severn, heir to the island-and there that she had lost him to the wiles of her cousin Elise. The island still guarded as well the shameful secret of Lacey's own past. When Lacey returns at last to Hampton, she finds herself once again swept up in her love for Giles, and threatened by the overwhelming conflicts that follow.
