Synopsis: A lighthearted yet steamy contemporary romance set in the picturesque Colorado town of Barringer's Pass, where a woman returns home after grad school--and ends up working for her ex-boyfriend.Sophie Larkin has returned to Barringer's Pass with a shiny new PhD and no job prospects. Her only offer is for manual labor at Zane Thorson's landscaping company. Ten years ago Zane became her first lover, followed abruptly by a messy breakup. He is more than happy to offer back-breaking work to the girl who thought she was too good for him. Sophie can tolerate her crude coworkers and Zane's smug satisfaction, but when she accidentally uncovers a body on Zane's property, the tables quickly turn. The town is all too ready to believe the worst of one of the notorious Thorsons, especially when all the evidence points to him. Sophie might resent him, but she's not ready to watch him be railroaded for a crime she knows he couldn't commit. Unfortunately, no one believes her, and the only way to prove Zane didn't do it is to find the person who did...although it seems he has already found her first.
