- Synopsis
- The book develops as a choral novel, the vicissitudes of the protagonists intertwine on the background of the technical and political progress of the world in which they move. Characters and setting develop side by side, influencing each other, creating an unspecified time, politics and the global economy is dominated by rival corporations, in particular the Atlantis Corporation which rises to the headlines presenting a revolutionary invention: Katalepsis. A portable device capable of communicating their emotions, sensations and thoughts to others. An object capable of nullifying every problem of incommunicability, any misunderstanding, capable of bringing human beings closer, a revolutionary discovery that pushes humanity towards a new era. The Atlantis Corporation, however, has to deal with violent competition and international intrigue born just after the release on the trade of this invention, towards a shocking and unexpected final.
