- Synopsis
 - The purpose of this book is to outline those elements of philosophy that are relevant to a proper understanding of education and the task of teaching. Much of the content comes from a text that I edited, entitled Foundations of Education (Wiley, 1963). I have rewritten and in places enlarged the original, especially the sections on existentialism and logical analysis, which I have assigned to a separate chapter.
