- Synopsis
- Carlos G. Valles, S.J., is a Spanish Jesuit priest who has worked in India for the past nearly forty years, and became a close friend and associate of the late Father Anthony de Mello, S.J. He has written dozens of books, for which he has received India's highest literary award as best prose writer. His most recent works include Mastering Sadhana: On Retreat with Anthony de Mello and The Art of Choosing (both published by Image Books/Double- day). Courage to be Myself defines and discusses the ways in which the self is based on the experiences of past generations and of the person in question.
