- Synopsis
- Thirteen year old Kat O’Connor has recently lost her mother to cancer. Deeply hurt that no one truly understands, she struggles to resume a normal life. Kat finds some escape in her friendship with the General, a mentally unstable, homeless man, but must sort through the prejudices others have toward him, including those of her own father. Then comes the day when Kat witnesses a hit-and-run accident. That moment triggers a series of events that will test whether Kat can put aside her grief or crumble under its weight.
