Synopsis: Dear Gabby, I’m just an ordinary eleven-year-old, but I really need HELP! Leontine and Richard were put out of their house and they’re only a couple of months old. I’ll probably get in trouble for taking them in. How am I supposed to feed them? Filling-In in a Pinch * Dear Pinch, This is too big a responsibility to take on at your age. The police must be notified. Talk with your family. Call Social Services and they will tell you what help is available. Gabby * Trish has been trying to get advice columnist Gabby to print her letters for months. But Gabby’s advice stinks. Social Services is of no help. Then Trish rescues an abandoned dog who is expecting puppies and the word is out that she’s running an animal shelter...The problem and the animals are multiplying. The neighbors are complaining. More letters to Gabby bring more ridiculous replies. Trish has to solve this problem herself. When she does, her solution proves she is anything but ordinary.
