- Synopsis
- Gwyn's family has traveled across the country from Vancouver to Nova Scotia where they plan to make their new home in Mahone Bay. Gwyn doesn't care for the idea at all; in fact, she has sulked from the west coast to the east, unlike her sister, Linden, who's caught up in the adventure. Gwyn only agreed to make the trip when she got her parents to make her three promises. In the meantime, she's uneasy with a new house and a school where the stairs dip in the middle and the floors creak. But there is a salt marsh and cranberries that make her mouth pucker, and Uncle Peter who takes her out in his fishing boat. Despite herself, Gwyn begins to grow into this new place, and as the three promises are slowly delivered, she comes to agree with Linden that this is indeed "My Home Bay."
