- Synopsis
- Professor Beth Austin is convinced that Marylou Peacock plaigiarized her prize-winning essay on Mark Twain. When Marylou dies at the hands of an unknown killer, Beth finds herself working with FBI agent Gil Bailey, who had come to Midwestern University to investigate a rash of book thefts from the library. Do the two cases have one solution? Beth and Gil often disagree, but they begin to fall in love as each works to solve the puzzling mystery. Meanwhile, the killer may strike again, and Beth could be in danger.
