Marine lieutenant Cletus Frade is sent to Argentina, in October of 1942, as the head of a 3 man OSS team to stop a neutral ship which is re-supplying German submarines.
Frade, who is fluent in Spanish, and the heir apparent to a multi-million dollar oil business, also has the benefit of being considered an Argentinean, as he was born there, to a father he has never met. Sweetening the deal from the Office of Strategic Service's perspective, Frade's father is a wealthy, high-ranking retired military officer, who is likely to be the next president of Argentina.
