- Synopsis
- The blacksmith was one of the most important people in a village. People came from far away to have their horses shod and their wagons repaired. The blacksmith fixed plows and other tools. He repaired weapons and shaped works of art. Ordinary pieces of metal were melted down and pounded into beautiful door knockers and handles. Everything, from tiny pieces of jewelry to huge steel rods, was repaired in a blacksmith's workshop.
