- Synopsis
- In the second book in the Lois Meade mystery series which follows, "Murder on Monday," Lois, her husband Derik and their 3 children are moving up in the world. They've bought a house in the country and Lois is starting a cleaning business of her own. Business is good and she expects life to be peaceful, but she finds corpses in church and in the woods and danger lurks at school, in the cottages, on the streets and even in the local community theater. Worse yet, Lois suspects that 3 of her 4 capable, likable cleaners may be involved in murder, drug trafficking and more. Helping the local police legitimizes Lois' natural tendency to pry and she is more concerned because her daughter is threatened and her husband is badly injured to warn her off the investigation. As Lois searches for answers we are pleasantly involved in the domestic and social lives of villagers of all ages. Lois is outspoken, practical, caring, and always, always far too curious! When you finish this page turner, look for the next book in the series by Ann Purser, "Weeping on Wednesday."
