- This is a publication of the Communitarian Network, at George Washington University. From 1990 until the summer of 2004, The Responsive Community provided an opportunity for a large number of communitarian thinkers to participate in a forum to develop communitarian theory, philosophy, and policies, as well as a place to publish descriptive accounts of communitarian ideas at work in one community or another.
