- Synopsis
- The mechanisms and cognitive processes that we would use to account for observable behaviors in the laboratory and in real life borrow the metaphor that considers the human cognitive system as an information processing system: STI. The first research using the STI metaphor was conducted by a group of academics with a double or triple background in Philosophy, Psychology, Linguistics and Artificial Intelligence. This book presents mainly learning situations studied in the laboratory, with a chapter presenting applications directly resulting from this research. The last chapter is devoted to the presentation of some models in Cognitive Psychology and Artificial Intelligence based on the concept of "Cognitive Architecture".
