Synopsis: Shipwrecked on the Hawaiian island of Molokai, Eric finds himself the prisoner of the Children of Eden, a colony ruled by an evil leader who claims to be the goddess of volcanoes. On the island of Oahu, Eric Thorne meets Noelani, a beautiful Hawaiian girl. She is a member of a colony called the Children of Eden. In her letters to Eric, she had described Eden as a nice, friendly place, but now she seems unwilling to talk about it. Later, Eric stumbles across the colony, but instead of the friendly welcome he expects, he is taken prisoner. The Children of Eden are ruled by a woman named Pele, who claims to be the goddess of volcanoes, and to have power to cause storms and earthquakes. "She has brought him here, she who tried to betray us," Pele announces. "If we let him return to his friends, they will come back here and destroy Eden." Now Eric must escape, but he wants to rescue Noelani first. He also has to find the real reason he is being held prisoner in Eden! For 13-19 year olds. Pictures are described.
